In 1992, Bodegas Chandon Argentina (founded by Moet & Chandon group in 1960) decided to undertake the Terrazas de los Andes project. After several years of looking and exploring new lands, discovered and identified the best terroirs and the precisely defined height for each grape variety.
In 1999 Terrazas de los Andes is inaugurated, established in the heart of Mendoza, in an old wine cellar restored Spanish-style which belonged since 1898 to Sotero Arizu, one of the pioneers of wine production in Argentina.
In Terrazas de los Andes, it all started in the terraced vineyards located at the foot of the Andes mountain range. As pioneers in choosing the exact height to express the legitimate genuine character of each grape variety, their philosophy has been to identify the best terroirs for Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Torrontes.
That is why combining the French tradition and know-how with the exceptional Argentine terroir, the Terrazas de los Andes team is allowed to extract the intensity and genuine characteristics of each variety resulting in Terrazas de los Andes wines, distinguished by their freshness, intensity and elegance.
We will taste: 2 Reserve Wines and 2 Single Vineyard wines. Mineral water. Handcrafted crackers during the tasting included.
